Quality & Certificates
Quality control is a traceable process from incoming raw materials to shipment. Our luminaires are manufactured in line with the LVD and EMC directives and carry the CE mark; their technical values are documented in each product's datasheet.

Tests we carry out
- Photometric measurements
- Luminous flux (lumen), colour rendering (CRI), colour temperature (Kelvin) and light distribution curves (IES) are measured with a goniophotometer. The lumen and lm/W values in the datasheets come from these measurements.
- Thermal tests
- Luminaires are operated for long periods while LED and driver temperatures are monitored, verifying that the heatsink capacity is sufficient. LED lifetime depends directly on operating temperature.
- IP and sealing
- Outdoor products are tested against dust and water. Our bollards and street luminaires are rated IP67.
- Electrical safety
- Insulation resistance and earth continuity (Hi-Pot) tests are applied. Most indoor luminaires are designed as Class II (double insulated).
- Burn-in test
- Finished luminaires are energised and operated before shipment, so LED, driver and connection faults are caught before reaching site.
What the datasheet says and what it means
The values most often asked about when comparing products. Datasheets for all products are on the technical documents page.
| Value | Meaning |
|---|---|
| L80B10 | Over the stated period (e.g. 50,000 hours) at most 10% of luminaires fall below 80% of their initial luminous flux. |
| Ra (CRI) | How naturally the light renders colours; the closer to 100, the better. Ra > 80 is preferred in offices and Ra > 90 in colour-critical spaces. |
| UGR | Unified glare rating. UGR < 19 is targeted in offices and classrooms; the diffusers of our linear luminaires are chosen accordingly. |
| IP rating | The first digit indicates protection against solids and dust, the second against water: IP20 dry indoor, IP44 splashing water, IP65 water jets, IP67 temporary immersion. |
| Class I / Class II | A Class I luminaire is protected against electric shock by earthing, a Class II luminaire by double insulation. |
| ±10% tolerance | The accepted measurement tolerance for datasheet values; exact values for a project are given with the quotation. |
Frequently asked questions
Are Harmony ELS luminaires CE certified?
Yes. Our luminaires are manufactured in line with the Low Voltage (LVD) and Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) directives and carry the CE mark.
What is the warranty on the LED luminaires?
Products for which it is stated in the datasheet have a 5-year warranty. The warranty period and scope are written in each product's datasheet.
How are datasheet values measured?
Luminous flux, CRI, colour temperature and light distribution are determined by photometric measurements; values are given with a ±10% tolerance. Exact values for a project are shared with the quotation.
Can I get IES files?
Yes. You can request IES files of the products you need for DIALux or Relux calculations through the contact form or by e-mail.
