For this restored historic tower we designed façade-focused lighting to bring out the original stone architecture and vertical form of the building. Narrow-beam, high-performance outdoor luminaires emphasise the centuries-old wall texture, while luminaires projecting circular light effects onto the ground were used in the landscaped area in front of the building.

  • Solutions used: High-IP narrow-beam LED floodlights for outdoor use, in-ground uplights and patterned landscape lighting elements.
  • Project details: A homogeneous vertical wall-washing effect was achieved on the stone surfaces while respecting the historic identity of the building. Luminaire positions and beam angles were calculated so that the light does not overpower the architecture or cause glare. Circular ground effects along the paths around the tower improve both safety and the appearance of the area at night.
