Track Systems
Track systems are a lighting infrastructure in which luminaires clip onto a ceiling-mounted track at any point and can be moved later. We offer four systems: single-phase (one circuit), three-phase (three circuits), DALI-controlled three-phase and 48 V magnetic track. Each system's tracks, power feeds, L, T, X and flexible connectors, adapters and suspension parts are listed as separate products. Track spotlights and magnetic track luminaires fit these tracks.

- What Is a Track Spotlight and How to Choose One? Beam Angle, Track Type and Wattage
A track spotlight is an LED spotlight that can be slid along and aimed on an electrical track mounted on the ceiling. Four decisions are key: an adaptor compatible with the track (single- or three-phase), a beam angle suited to the task (12°–20° for a single product, 34° for shelves, 44°–60° for areas), enough power and luminous flux for the space, and CRI 90 or higher so that colours look right.
- How to Light a Shop? Lighting Decisions That Affect Sales
Retail lighting is built in three layers: uniform general lighting of about 300 lux in the sales area, accent lighting that makes products 3–5 times brighter than their surroundings, and window lighting. To show product colours accurately, CRI 90 or higher is chosen, plus R9 > 50 for products with red tones.
- DALI, KNX and 1-10V: Lighting Control Systems
1-10V is the lowest-cost analogue method, dimming all luminaires on a line together. DALI (IEC 62386) is a digital protocol that can address 64 luminaires on a line individually and receive status information. KNX is a building automation standard that manages lighting together with heating, blinds and security systems. 1-10V suits small, budget-focused jobs, DALI offices, hotels and shops, and in integrated smart buildings KNX as the upper layer is combined with DALI as the lower layer.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between single-phase, three-phase and DALI track?
Single-phase track carries one circuit, so all spotlights on it switch together. Three-phase track carries three separate circuits; spotlights are wired to different circuits and switched zone by zone. DALI track adds a DALI control line to the three circuits, so DALI-driven spotlights are dimmed individually.
Can magnetic track and three-phase track be interchanged?
No. Magnetic track runs on 48 V DC and luminaires are held by magnets; three-phase track runs on mains voltage and luminaires fit via a track adapter. The track, connectors and luminaires of each system only work within that system.
Which parts does a track system need?
Each run needs track lengths, a power feed at the supply end, an end cap at the other end, straight/L/T/X connectors to join tracks, and for suspended mounting, suspension brackets and wires. Send us your track layout and we will prepare the parts list.
